Here's what I sent to my partner Charlotte Penvy of the Infrequent Beader.
The first necklace contains the PMC focal that Charlotte made herself as well as the carnelian teardrop she sent me.
I made the wire loop on the teardrop so that the focal can be adjusted according to the mood of the wearer.
I then used fresh water pearls and labradorite nuggets in a more free form cluster style.
Where's the clasp, you say?! You HAVE to use the clasp! It's the rule! Here it is!! I loved the PMC clasp Charlotte made so much that I had to use it as a focal too. A few of the larger turquoise nuggets she sent, a couple green garnet tubes with more pearls brought this delicate yet versatile piece together.
And finally.....I had a *few* beads left over since I was so focused on "less is more". So what did I do? I went with my regular habit of throwing a bunch of beads into one piece and hoping for the best ;) Well, really I do have a method to my madness but I wont bore you with messy details. See for yourself! With some of my own beads and findings I added Charlotte's turquoise, carnelian and a few others roped in to make a Tropical Blonde piece "signature look". Big, bright and asymmetrical!
Oh and don't forget the earrings!
I hope you have at least half as much fun as I did with this party! Hop on, my beady friends, hop on!
A HUGE shout out and thank you to Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for hosting this enormous undertaking and putting up with A LOT this time around. You totally rock the beading world, my friend! Check out her blog and the full list of partners here.

Well it looks like I am the first person to make a comment! What an amazing variety of things you have made from your bead soup, they are really lovely I especially like the last necklace with earrings and the hand made silver focal clasp nice idea.

Gorgeous! Weren't those colors you used early in the summer too? I love them all especially the clasp focal point necklace. Wonderful idea, and I agree the clasp is a worthy focal!
wow I really love the turquoise set! all your pieces were lovely, but the turquoise just wowed me!
pretty dainty pieces. I love how you tackled the bead soup head on, usually the best way to produce some amazing results
You did a great job - very hard-working - congratulations for these wonderful pieces! I love the last necklace, especially!
Greetings, Michi
I love the bold asymmetrical necklace :) you have made a lovely variety of things from your soup and I really like the idea of a clasp focal too :)
Kate! I love, love, love everything you created! Wow, you made my pendant and clasp look really chic! Thanks for being my partner. This was a great BSBP!
I love how you stretched yourself to go dainty! Those pieces are gorgeous and I love the last piece where you went with your own style! All of your pieces are gorgeous!
What a beautiful soup you made my friend, your work is truly stunning!! Thanks for sharing & all I can say is yummmmmy!!!
Great work Kate - I love that clasp focal necklace especially.
Yep you really kept them simple but ooooohhhhhhsoooooo elegant! LOVE!
I think you did a fabulous job with the dainty pieces. Very pretty, each one, and great for everyday wear. And the final, big, statement necklace rocked!
Such stunning designs, and I've fallen in love with the toggle, it's just beautiful!
Great pieces the first few elegantly simple and the last one bold.
I love all your pieces but especially the toggle as focal piece. Yum! We’re all being pushed outside our comfort zones — with amazing results!
Enjoy the hop,
Emanda

That's a great collection of pieces you made!
Beautiful creations! Love the colors of your bead soup!
I love the layered look of your signature look with the more simple pieces!
I love all of your pieces!! The first two necklaces are simple, but LOVELY...I would totally wear them!
Oh, I love each one for totally different reasons! They are all amazing, but I have to say, I'm really drawn to the clasp necklace, and the wild one at the end! Great job!
That last necklace with all the strands is my absolute favorite! And the colors are terrific! Great job.
I hope you join me again!
Love, Lori
Love! The colors and flow, perfect. I love that clasp and you did it right. Congrats.
beautiful pieces.....love the colours and simplicity
The dainty things are beautiful, but I really love the big bold piece you made. I'd wear it in a heartbeat! (I can tell you where to send it if you've run out of room for it in your house...)
I like what you did with all the beads, but I esp LOVE your signiture piece. I also like that you are a Polymer artist. I work in that medium too and am always happy to find another PC blog to read.
I like them all, from the less is more to the opulent!
Super nice design you could wear this one anywhere.
Be blessed to be a blessing
All of your designs are beautiful! :)
So lovely, I really like the way you used the clasp as a focal, beautiful designing!
I like the shot where you have botthe necklaces together, have you worn them that way yet? I love your 'signature' piece. as to my earwires? a sharpie(basic reg, not the skinny point kind they are a little skinnier) is what I use to wrap my wire around, tightly, until I have about an inch of coils. when I clip wire & let go it loosens up to the round size you saw on the wire.file the edge the goes in the ear, & turn the loop w/ your pliers for the earring charm. the loop can be turned to the outside(orig tute called for this) but I like it turned under.I keep a coil handy & clip off wires as I need them. I think Ornamenta is where I saw it
All of your necklace creations are beautiful Kate, especially the last one.
Therese
Wonderful! You have created several terrific pieces of wearable art. I like your use of color and texture in the asymmetrical necklace. Thank you for sharing your artistic process along the way. Cheers!
Lori
I like them all but that last necklace is a real showstopper.
the Southwest piece is IT!!! i love that one beyond words.
great pieces. The last piece is my favorite! Great color combinations, and beautiful design!
These are all beautiful! My fave is your mult-strand necklace!
Marked as fave your etsy store - love your pillow beads!
I would wear every single piece, most likely at the same time. The final picture is perfect!
I love how used the focal/clasp. Really great choice. Also the choice to do something different if it kills you. I'm really glad it didn't!
Warm regards,
Cathie
These are all just beautiful. I can't believe you don't work at this scale all the time since these are so polished and perfect! Love the colors you two swapped, too! And love the PMC things your partner made! LOVE them.
While the simplicity of your first two necklaces is eye-catching, your second too are breath-taking! The earrings are also stunning. You really knocked out some wonderful pieces! I love that you used the clasp as the focal as well. Nicely done.
You were very busy with your soup! All lovely pieces - love the turquoise necklace & also how you used the clasp as the focal!
Great pieces, love that last necklace!
Beautiful work! I love them all but the necklace is gorgeous!
Wow, that necklace that you threw everything together came out incredible! i love it, the way it drapes is gorgeous!
Your multi-strand necklace is over-the-top! Achieving balance is such a complicated design is not easy and you nailed it! The colors are great too! Wonderful work!
I love the delicate pieces- they are so wearable! I also just love that large multi-strand piece! Gorgeous, Kate!
So many nice pieces. I love that you used that clasp as a focal. It's so pretty that way. And I really like the stranded necklace at the end, but they all are great.
gah!! that's gorgeous! All of it! what a great serving of soup! You rocked it out of the park on these!
I love the colors of your soup mix, and the results are beautiful! My favorite is the last necklace with the multi-strands - beautiful! :)
Ooh! I'm lovin' the longer one with the three strands!
Wow, it is really amazing that you two sent each other such similar bead soups! I love what you did with it, especially that last necklace- I love lots of beads in a necklace :)
Wow! I love how you used that beautiful clasp for the focal, just perfect! Great pieces!
Necklace Number 3 is my favorite because I love mixing carnelian and turquoise. I have not used the gorgeous beads I bought from you yet. I can't wait.
The last necklace is stunning! It's very bold and creative.
Oh Kate that last one is all you! Beautiful everyone of them but the long necklace in the bomb! Last time my partner and I sent each other a very similar color set and very similar scheme!
Kate, Oh goodness, I love all of these pieces! (and weren't prolific!) The daintyness and femininity of the first necklaces is lovely. But that last piece, now *that* is stunning and right up my alley! Love it.
Congrats! I can't do dainty - I just can't!! Nicely done (and I like the multistrand one the best - what a surprise!)
WOW!! You did a terrific job!! :)
Wow, you certainly got busy with your soup! I love the hand made clasp in your soup... you've done a great job of turning it into a really special focal. I think that would be my favourite of all the pieces you created.
Bravo for stepping outside your usual and doing three 'dainty' pieces :) I love the clasp focal one best of those I think :) And your signature piece looks amazing!
Love your soup. I am especially drawn to the simple elegance of the one with the pearls and the clasp as a focal. Like a rich broth. Wish I could do simple, then of course the real me lusts over your long colorful asymmetric beauty and I want that!!
Amazing soup! You did a great job going out of your comfort zone and doing something different! The dainty pendants are lovely. And I love your "signature" piece as well :) The earrings are sweet!
Wow, I love it all. Your big and bold necklace is my favorite...I tend to prefer big and bold, too, but I'm only 5 ft. 3 !!
WOW...beautiful mix and you made some beautiful creations with it!
Wow, you were busy! The pendants are really pretty, but the last necklace is definitely my favourite. Beautiful summer colours!
Your "hoping for the best" necklace is really appealing. I love that method! ;)
Ambra
You did a great job with these, love the layered look.
Wonderful necklace and awesome colors!
What a fun soup mix you had to play with and you created so many things.
And how neat to where them interchangeably. Soup-er job!
This all looks so fresh and nice.
Love what you made!
I like the last one best- but that is because it is more my style. They are all beautiful though and you got alot of pieces out of your soup. It is nice that you can do simple or over the top.
